The Trove Collection
Some treasures have a way of choosing their owners. The story of our Trove collection began with a simple link from a fellow design lover, prompting me to bid on an online auction. What arrived was far more than a delivery; as I unpacked the contents, I found myself weeping at the sheer beauty before me. It was a gathered history of human creativity: art books, textile manuals, and museum pamphlets that formed an extensive dictionary of global craft. Across every continent, from Europe to Asia, each region was represented with such extraordinary care, it felt like a lifetime of curated devotion.
The box held ancient ceramics, woven rugs, and murals—small, soulful fragments that acted as windows into the hands of artisans from thousands of years ago. I knew instantly that I could translate this heritage into something beautiful for today. This collection isn't just about new ideas; it holds centuries of them. In fact, I could draw from these pages for the rest of my career and never run dry. The Trove collection consists of five distinct patterns, each one an homage to the quiet wonders found within that remarkable treasure chest.
INGRID
The Ingrid pattern found its beginning within a collection of embossed paper booklets authored by Ingrid Günther. Tucked away inside were her personal embroidery guides, hand-sketched designs on translucent baking paper, meticulously preserved with specific directions for creation. These fragments of a creative life suggested everything from elegant tablecloths and cushions to lampshades and accessories.
Directly descending from the original tablecloth motif, our Ingrid Floral is a thoughtful evolution of its heritage. I began by sketching and painting botanical forms, slowly weaving them into a cohesive repeat, then introduced subtle, contemporary details to bridge the decades. The result feels historical and remarkably fresh at once. As one of the five designs in our Trove collection, Ingrid is defined by its intentional simplicity. With a palette of just three shades and a crisp, hand-drawn silhouette, it is a reminder that the most thoughtful expressions are often the most understated.
Ingrid comes in four colorways, Desher Red, Fudge, Khaki and Seafoam.
ITERU
The ancient Egyptian word for river, Iteru draws its life from a single, evocative fragment I found in the auction lot. Whether it began as a shard of pottery, a piece of fabric or another storied object remains a mystery, but its playful geometric rhythm spoke to me instantly as I leafed through those vintage pages. Though its roots reach back thousands of years, the design carries a distinct mid-century sensibility that feels remarkably modern. As our most intricate pattern to produce, Iteru requires a palette of five distinct shades, each meticulously applied via individual screens along our twenty-meter printing tables. This patient process, where every color must fully dry before the next layer is introduced, transforms the act of creation into a slow and beautiful labor of love.

DUTCH DOT
The Dutch Dot pattern traces its lineage to the storied Delft tiles of the Netherlands, specifically the delicate motifs typically found adorning their corners. This stylized botanical form, composed of miniature rectangular strokes, was brought to life through the rhythmic precision of a fine brush. I wanted a small-scale geometric that balanced softness with a clean aesthetic. Available as both a lightweight linen and a wallpaper, Dutch Dot invites you to fully immerse an interior in its quiet subtle charm.
Dutch Dot is offered in two sophisticated colorways: Tobacco and Khaki.

RAKEL STRIPE
The Rakel pattern, with its spirited diagonal rhythm, is a layered homage to a variety of historical treasures. Its journey began with ancient pottery and vessels adorned with diagonal striped motifs, eventually blending with the geometric soul of mid-century flatweave rugs and the storied depth of antique Japanese indigo textiles. This fusion resulted in a hand-drawn design that celebrates character. There is a deliberate imperfection in my sketches, lending an artisanal feel to the linear form.
Rakel is available in two of our foundational colors, Fudge and Dusty Blue, thoughtfully curated to harmonize with our evolving textile collection.
FLORA
Our Flora pattern began as a tiny remnant of a 1970s floral textile, which became the spark for a delicate ditsy print. While it echoes the rhythmic charm of traditional Indian block prints, the design carries its own character. Centered around a single, hand-drawn botanical motif that meanders across the surface, Flora evokes a sense of nostalgia and romance. By layering three tonal variations of its primary hue, the pattern achieves a sophisticated depth that feels entirely modern. It acts as the perfect small-scale anchor in any room, effortlessly harmonizing with bolder companion prints, from oversized florals to classic stripes and checks.
Flora is offered in three colorways: Tobacco, Sage, and the vibrantly fresh Sky Blue.
