Vintage Suzanis
Beautifully embroidered, decorative textiles, suzanis were traditionally made by Central Asian brides as part of their dowry, and were presented to the grooms on the wedding day. After the wedding, the suzanis were used as part of the tents decoration in their nomad tribes. They traditionally have a cotton fabric base with silk or cotton embroidery. Most of the suzanis we have in our showroom are dated back to the early 70s but some are as old as 80 years.
