Heroes: Faye
Our popular geometric, small scale print Faye is inspired by a 1950s pattern from one of Cathy’s many American textile and quilting books. Named partially after Cathy’s daughter Faye but the name was also a fitting name for that mid-century era. The name Faye peaked between the 1890s and the 1920s which made it a typical “granny name” for the younger generation. Cathy pictured a woman in her 30s, in an American suburb in the 1950s, picking this fabric for the new home she was creating for her family.
